Corporate - workplace massage

I offer workplace massage & relaxation as corporate programs in the workplace.

What is Workplace massage?

Workplace massage is a 10,15, or 20 minute massage given to staff within the workplace. As a qualified & experienced Remedial massage therapist I provide the massage while the staff member is seated in a chair and is supported in a specially designed head rest that sits on a desk. The staff member remains fully clothed and no oils are used.

Workplace massage is best done in a conference room, empty office or break room. However if these are not available then the staff member’s desk can also be utilized.

Why massage in the workplace?

In the workplace stress is a common complaint and reality. Prior to becoming a massage therapsit I worked for 11 years in an office environment and understand from my own experiences the physical, emotional, workplace-related, real and perceived stresses we can encounter in the workplace.

Workplace massage to relax the body and the mind

Workplace massage is designed to relax the body and the mind. As physical relaxation occurs the mind is cleared of unnecessary thoughts and worries, and the body becomes more free of discomfort.

The result is that staff members can return to work refreshed and with renewed focus and concentration. A calmer colleague is also often a more effective team member.

Workplace Group Programs - Relaxation, Stretching

In the past I also ran group sessions, offering stretching and relaxation techniques. Using my expertise as a massage therapist, it has often been a valued contribution, being able to point out and assist individuals where area’s of their body needed attention or further treatment.

This has benefited both the staff member and the workplace as acute body tension can be treated prior to it becoming more chronic and effecting productivity or attendance.

How does your company benefit?

There are many reasons to book regular workplace massage. Workplace massage can be booked at any intervals that suit your company. This can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Massage vouchers are also available to corporate clients. Clients use these vouchers to rewards particular staff members. Such a voucher can entitle staff to either half hour or one hour massage. This is often booked for in the my professional room at the Lotus Centre. It is often a great incentives to staff members.

The Lotus Centre is a beautifully and newly refurbished health centre offering a peaceful and calming environment. It is easily accessible, within the CBD and often leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

Who pays for the massage?

Many companies pay for employees to receive massage, some companies contribute to the cost with employees. While in some workplaces employees pay the entire cost themselves.
